
Registered Dental Hygienist
Amanda is a Registered Dental Hygienist (RDH) having completed her degree and licensure in June 2001. She is a graduate of West Plains High School and Missouri Southern State University in Joplin, Mo.
A RDH is a licensed healthcare professional, oral health educator and clinician, which provides preventative, educational and therapeutic services, supporting total health for the control of oral diseases and the promotion of oral health. A RDH has completed a minimum two-year college program that includesclassroom studies and extensive supervised clinical experience.
A RDH must pass a national written exam, clinical exam, and state laws exam in addition to graduation from an accredited dental hygiene program to receive licensure. A RDH can also administer anesthetics.
